Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an American-born British sitarist as well as a music producer. She was the first and first woman to receive a British House of Commons Shield she has had 9 Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian origin to play live on stage and also act as a host at the award ceremony. Anoushka is a rising star in Indian sitar. She is a student and daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982, and during her early years, she swam between London New Delhi.
